This morning a let my dog out to pee. When he didn't come back to the door I went outside and realized I left our back gate open. We've had torrential rain in the PNW--and my dog looks like a mangey drowned rat when he's wet...I'm praying someone stops in the rain and calls our number on his dog tag, even though he's a soggy wet mess.
My husband threw his back out this weekend, our roof is leaking in my kitchen, our pool is flooding, our bank account was compromised, and Parker learned how to open doors and has been exceptionally fussy. My husband is in terrible pain and has one of the busiest work days he's ever had; he pulled me aside before he left this morning and said, "lets pray."
I'm so grateful, grateful for his leadership, his gratitude in the midst of chaos, and how he can look beyond himself and pray for me and others.
I regained perspective. I put my trust and reliance back in the Lord this morning, and just as I was about to hit publish on this blog post, a stranger called. She had Gus.
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving present your requests to God. Phil 4:6
