We installed the car seat this week. Can I tell you how odd it is to look in my back seat and have a car seat there? And to think I'll be driving with a car seat for at least a few more years? Reality is definitely setting in.
Baby girl is growing--according to my baby bump app she's about 19.25 inches and weighs about 6 1/2 pounds. This is significantly less than the NIGHTMARE I had that I gave birth to a 17 pound baby. Seriously people...I dreamed this. Scary.
Minus the carpel tunnel and swelling, I'm doing great. My prilosec OTC is keeping my heartburn at bay, once I fall asleep, I sleep pretty well, and my energy levels are good. I'm crazy clumsy however. I keep dropping things, and bending over to pick things up this late in pregnancy is daunting. I almost cried in the Target parking lot because I dropped my keys as I was about to load my car up, and then immediately after I picked up my keys I dropped my bags. (In hindsight it's kinda funny).
Some things I want to check off the list by the end of the week (and hopefully before baby arrives:
- pack a hospital bag (any suggestions?)
- get my oil changed and car detailed
- make a couple freezer meals
- deep clean my fridge

Yay full term.
ReplyDeleteLove her car seat. Damask is so pretty! We were cheap and went with gender neutral things with her big ticket items like car seat, high chair, packnplay, stroller in case baby #2 ends up a boy. But I'm jealous of all the cute girlie things out there!
that is actually really smart...why didn't i think of that??!!
DeleteYay! You made it. Any day!
ReplyDeleteomg, 37 weeks. so exciting!
ReplyDeleteParker i know you want to meet mommy soon so just hurry on out OK?
Do all of those things on your list- trust me.
ReplyDeleteWoohooo!!!! Come on, Parker!
ReplyDeleteYou are ALMOST THERE!! Car seats are a BEAST. I barely got my nephew strapped in and taken out a few weekends ago! Lol
ReplyDeleteyay!! full-term, next meet baby!! i love that car set, your little girl will be styling even on her way home from the hospital
ReplyDeleteYou look great!! We just installed our car seat yesterday and I had the same "Oh my gosh, there's a car seat in MY car." thoughts, too! Haha :)

how is it possible that you became MORE STUNNING as the weeks went by!?
ReplyDeleteyou must be READY. (goodness...I'm already feeling "ready" and I'm only 14 weeks now...i'm not good at being pregnant.)
Yay for full term! I'm making my husband get my car detailed this Saturday.
ReplyDeleteYou look so beautiful!! You're almost there....and I LOVE Parker's carseat. So cute!
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute car seat!
ReplyDeleteAs for hospital bag suggestions - definitely chapstick and socks. Also, the one thing I wished I did is just buy extra toiletries (mainly hair products like gel and hairspray) and pack them before hand. It was the one thing I hadn't pre packed and it certainly didn't get thrown in there while I was in labor. And my hair looks so funky in all the pictures because of that.
Yay! Go you! 37 weeks and healthy is awesome! My only suggestion would be to pack a doggie bag? If someone watching Gus for you while you are at the hospital, it's easier on you and your hubby when the moment comes to have that ready to go too! We've watched several of our friends dogs for them and it seemed to work really well for them to have a dog bag ready and we'd just swing by, pick up the pooch and have everything they need for a comfortable stay at our house! :) Best of luck to you both and congrats!
ReplyDeleteso, so beautiful! fingers crossed you don't have a 17lb bebe ;)
ReplyDeleteLaughed out loud when I read your list as it was the same as mine!
ReplyDeleteBring a nursing cover to use around visitors and some chapstick and cozy socks. You and your sweet p will be cuddled together in the bed for two days. Good times. Be sure to take advantage of the help while you are there to get sleep. Once you are home you are on your own!
It's so close! So excited for you.
I just did my hospital bag! I'll do a post on it just for you ;) My bag will have more things than yours though bc the british hospitals don't supply you with everything you need unfortunately. Oh well - the joys of a national health care system.
ReplyDeleteanyway, you look fantastic!!! i can't wait to "meet" the little one :)
