35 Weeks

Maternity jeans and tank top thrifted // Shirt: Tommy Hilfiger // Belt F21

Well, it's getting close, and I can tell.  I haven't had braxton hicks contractions, but I have been having really strong menstrual like cramping in my pelvic area and lower back--it kinda knocks the wind out of me.  These are the circumstances when Google is not your friend because it can fill your head with horrible things.  My midwife said that the baby is lowering itself into position and things are "stretching and moving"; so everything is fine.  But its been happening daily, and when you're walking through Target, there just isn't an ideal place to lay down and rest for 30 minutes.

I've put on 35 pounds--with 5 more weeks to go and I'm completely OK with my weight gain.  I'm sure I'll be annoyed about it later, but for now, I'm embracing it and enjoying food (until it gives me heartburn).

According to my baby bump app, baby girl is 18 inches, 5.25 pounds and about the size of a honeydew melon.  When I rub my belly I'm pretty sure I can feel the outline of her body; her little bum is always pressed out on the left side of my stomach and her feet kick on the right side.  It's totally surreal.

It's still hard to believe and hard to imagine how things will drastically change soon...but oh, how I'm looking forward to it!
