My pantry has been a disorganized disaster, partly due to my spices taking up a ton of room in my pantry. For months I scoured thrift stores for a vintage wall spice rack. I couldn't believe I couldn't find one, so I finally just ordered one from Etsy for $15 and painted it once it arrived. (And of course the very next week I saw one. Argh). I purchased jars from World Market for .99 each and made simple labels for the lids.
This freed up so much space in my pantry and I think spruced up my kitchen with some pretty wall decor. How do you store your spices?

Ok, I'm inspired to go out and buy a pretty rack. My spices have been at the back of my pantry for too long...
ReplyDeleteThis is a great idea Ruthy.. my spices are currently laying on their sides in a drawer.. and occasionally they leak out and make a big ol mess. I need a solution.
ReplyDeletethat looks fantastic! I think that I may do something similar - my spices sit on a little rotating wheel in the pantry but take up SO much room.
ReplyDeleteGreat job. My spices are all over the place. And every time I need one, I can't remember if I have any and buy more. I think I have 15 jars of coriander in my kitchen alone. Ha.
ReplyDeleteThat looks so wonderful!! Great job! The spice containers fit perfectly inside of the shelves too.
ReplyDeleteI store our spices on the counter thanks to an awesome Martha Stewart space saver rack we got for our wedding. The rack stands vertically (skinny and convenient) but the spices are stored horizontally so that you can see the names of the spices easily.
So cute! I'll definitely be making one of these when I have a space of my own!

Useful and pretty to look at. I really like it. Our spice organizing could use some major help too. What a great idea.
