Well, lets just say that what I've eaten the past week has totally cancelled out any good I did to my health when I went on the
vegan challenge. I think it was the news from my midwife telling me I was highly anemic at my last appointment that caused my red meat fest last week. I only took photos of 2, but I had three big juicy cheeseburgers as well as a steak within a 4 day time frame.
This weekend was also the Taste of Tacoma. It's a huge food festival with overpriced noms.
I paid $4 for an ear of corn people. That's what you do at a food festival I guess. And see that ice cream yumminess? A scoop of strawberry cheescake ice cream in between two ginormous fresh baked chocolate chip cookies. There is a place in LA called Diddy Reese that sells these for $1. I paid $4. It was very worth it. Speaking of ice cream...
Just called me Miss. Piggy. I took a quick day trip to Portland to visit a couple of girlfriends and they have this RIDICULOUS ice cream shop called
Salt & Straw. Check out some of these flavors.
Yeah, I left Portland like a stuffed pig in a blanket, but when I got home Sunday night, my amazing husband was making magic in the kitchen.
Andy makes a
phenom seafood boil. So needless to say, this lady went to bed chowing down on tums for dessert. Yay heartburn.
i am seriously drooling. i want all that food in my belly. especially the ice cream. i want that in my tummy now.
ReplyDeletei think it is worth the heartburn, lol.
baby Parker was eating really well. she was probably doing some happy dances in there, hehe.
Girl, you have been eating GOOOOD!!! That Ice Cream!? Why have I never been there? I must seek it out soon. After my fitness challenge.
ReplyDeleteTake care of you! Even if that means you have to consume gobs of red meat. :)
Seriously? I need to stop following you here and on instagram. You make me hungry every single time! :)
ReplyDeletei know...my life revolves around what i'm eating. lol
DeleteYummm...that ice cream sandwich looks DELICIOUS! Sad I had to miss out on the fun!
ReplyDeleteah, Diddy Reese is my favorite place in the world. I am willing to brave LA traffic during rush hour if it means I get a yummy ice cream sandwich.
ReplyDeleteThis is ridiculous, Ruthy. You're killing me over here!! I'm so jealous and I want to eat it all. Conveniently, it's lunch time here in Alabama. :)
ReplyDeleteSo I've been out of blogland for the past week and I feel like I missed so much. A huge belated Happy Birthday, by the way!! Looks like y'all have had a fabulous time celebrating and re-designing Parker's room! Gray is an awesome choice. :)
Those burgers look RIDICULOUSLY girl! Yum. I love food fests, even though they are way overpriced. It's just about the experience I guess? :)

Those burgers do look delish!!! Like the size of your head too! I saw a sign for fried PBJ in that pic. Ridiculous!!! I love PBJ and all but....jeez.
ReplyDeleteYum all these pics - it's a pregnant woman's dreams come true. Kudos to you for trying to do the Vegan diet while pregnant. I've decided to just give into my cravings...they seem to have a mind of their own these days.
ReplyDeleteDefining Tabitha
I just went to salt and straw for the first time this weekend too!! And I've totally been ditching the vegan diet. We must be leading parallel lives.
ReplyDeleteLove love LOVE Salt & Straw! ---now I'm going to have to drive over there after work. Ha!
