32 Weeks

Dress: Old Navy // Cardigan: H&M // Shoes: Target

This last week has been super busy and I think my body is finally starting to resist me.  I'm definitely starting to feel the strain this baby is putting on my body and it's definitely slowing me down.  I don't recognize my feet anymore; every night I look at my feet and think I haven't even been on them that much but they are so swollen.  To all the ladies who have jobs which require them to be on their feet at this stage of their pregnancy, wow, I give you major props.

The carpel tunnel in my right hand is really starting to get bothersome.  It feels like my right arm and hand is asleep all day and kinda arthritic as I have a hard time grasping on to anything. (Which makes all my little projects I have left to do seem impossible).

Surprisingly, I'm sleeping better.  I think I'm a bit of an anomaly as I did not experience the exhaustion/tiredness most women experience during the beginning of pregnancy--In fact I couldn't sleep for the life of me!  But now, my head hits the pillow and I'm out.

Little Parker Penny is doing great.  She is about 16.7 inches and weighs 3.75 pounds...and according to my app is about the size of a large jicama.  (Where do they get these references?  I have no idea what a large jicama looks like).  Her movement increases on a daily basis and I grow more and more anxious to meet this little nugget.

Other news...I decided on using a doula. After meeting with her, she was so wonderful and encouraging, I new I wanted here there with me and Andy during labor.

I also think I have truly let go of worrying about weight gain.  I'm embracing my round face and body, my outie bellybutton, and the other weirdness that happens to your body when you grow a human being.  That being said, I'm most likely enjoying ice cream as you read this right now.

  5. Ruthy, seriously you look GORGEOUS and not looking swollen at all! I hope I look half as good as you when I'm carrying a little nugget. Haha. I can't wait to hear more about your experiences with a doula, definitely will be paying attention for my future knowledge. And I'm jealous you're eating ice cream. Lol

  10. 8 more weeks to go!! You are right on schedule with the fatigue and swollen feet. For someone with pregnancy ailments you'd never know it- you look fantastic. Getting a doula is something I wish I had done in hindsight. So glad you will have the support.

  13. I think you really shouldn't be worried about weight gain, you're looking fantastic! Enjoy your ice cream as often as you want to, I think by now that these pounds a woman gains during a pregnancy are a small price to pay compared to what a great experience it is to grow a baby!
