The belly keeps growing...my belly button is pretty much flush with the rest of my belly right now, and I find it hilarious. I'm surprisingly OK with how my body is changing and growing (this was my biggest fear of pregnancy besides the actual labor). We'll see how I feel in another 10 weeks.
All the projects left to finish in the nursery are overwhelming me now. I've been scouring craigslist daily for a dresser and a wardrobe but haven't come up with anything yet. The loft doesn't have an actual closet, so I'm trying to figure out how I'll organize all this child's clothing. Any good organizational tips? I'm also debating a glider/rocker or just a regular chair--any recommendations moms?

ooh maybe the vegan diet did help. that is awesome!
ReplyDeletesorry about the heartburn. i hate heartburn so much!
the nursery will get done, even if you have to do it after the baby is here :)
have you thought of finding an armoir? i will have to do that in the future as the room that we hope to be the nursery in the future doesn't have a closet but it is the closest room to our master so it has to be the nursery.
good luck!
You look great. I have that grey and sequin maternity top. (I still wear it now - it's so cute and comfy!)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE my glider!!! It's ideal for nursing, rocking, story ready and sleeping. It's worth the investment for sure.
ReplyDeleteLet me know if you ever need help with projects/setting things up! I'd be glad to help!
ReplyDeleteI'd go with a glider and gliding ottoman. Many nights I rocked my son (and myself) to sleep in ours. It got more use than the crib.
ReplyDeleteGo with the glider. I resisted for awhile because they're not as cute, but I'm SO glad we got one.
ReplyDeleteAs for organization, how about installing one long dowell or rod along one of the walls and hanging clothes and organizational cubbies from that. You could paint it and/or string twinkle lights along it, etc so that it's another decorative element. The white twinkle lights would also make a good night light for those late night/early morning feedings.
Whatever you do, remember that it will all get done. It just will, so don't stress too much!
Yes or those fabric covered closet things...They are awesome for temporary storage when you just don't know what your needs are going to be! I used a really cute one that looked like a circus tent for Brendan's room!
ReplyDeleteYou look cute! Love the bump!
Get the most plush, nicest rocker you can afford! This was the BEST advice given to me! you will be spending ALOT of time there!! Sleep, watching, nursing...whatever! Make sure it's cushy and you protect it with lots of those baby cloth things! (Gosh, you sure lose the lingo fast!) Definitely make sure the feet can recline. DO NOT get the chair with separate ottoman! It will be a future garage sale item- Toddler Hazard!!!!
oh my goodness, you look so great! love both of your tops!
ReplyDeleteOh, you are absolutely STUNNING. I never tried the belt-over-bump fashion look, but I think it is super cute and classy.
ReplyDeleteRE: a dresser. We actually just use two small drawers in OUR dresser for the baby's clothes. Her clothes are so tiny and they barely take up any room.
RE: a chair. I have a comfy leather chair in the living room that is my absolute favorite for nursing...much more comfortable than rockers I have tried.
