Meet & Greet
Andy and I hosted a meet and greet at our apartment Monday night so we could get to know our neighbors. We posted signs throughout the building, but we had no idea if anyone would show up. We are happy to report we had a great turnout, met most of neighbors and had an awesome time. Turns out there are a lot of folks around our age in the building...one of our neighbors (who we have yet to meet) wasn't able to come and left these at our doorstep. We love our neighbors.

That's a great idea! We moved into our house a year ago and still havent met our neighbors.

ReplyDeleteWhen we had our housewarming a lot of our neighbors stopped by. It is awesome b/c if you ever need something they are always willing to help... hehe.

So thoughtful that they left you flowers! You guys were so nice to do this. I would have loved to have a little meet-and-greet when we moved into our apartment, but most of our neighbors are super old.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! Those flowers are pretty. We haven't met any of our neighbors. It's been about 4 months! We smile and wave but that't it.

ReplyDeleteWe hardly know any of our neighbors, for some reason I feel like we're all on different schedules...Our building has a nice courtyard that the balconies face but we rarely see anyone else out there. Oh well, more fresh air for us ;)
Wow, that is awesome! I don't think we'd ever have the guts to do that. You guys are so great for putting yourselves out there like that! Those are really pretty flowers too!

ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful idea! I love that you are extending your hearts and your friendship to your neighbors right from the get-go.
ReplyDeleteTim sometimes hesitates doing things like this because he is a former police officer and worries about people walking through our house (especially since we have small children). We tend to invite families/couples over one-at-a-time instead.
