I talk about you bloggers regularly. Almost to the point of us sounding like "real life" friends. I don't refer to you by name however, you are known by your blog's name.
Here are some excerpts from some recent conversations with my husband.
Me: Guess what, A Mountain Bride is preggers and she's not getting maternity leave!!
Andy: Really? She's preggers already? Wow. How's August and After...is she still blogging?
Me: She's really busy, she's working plus she started a photography business!
Andy: Cool.
Me: Oh, guess what? Happy Hour With A Housewife might be a contestant on The Biggest Loser.
Andy: Very Cool
Me: Oh, by the way, Metropolitan Mamma sent me a message about her husband's pastoral position that will be opening up soon when they start traveling.
Andy: Really?
Does anyone else have real life conversations about their blogger buddies?

How cute! I totally talk about bee bloggers to Mr. G all the time and he totally can't keep them straight and it's IRRITATING! :D
ReplyDeleteThat's so cute! And I most certainly do all the time. I feel like I've made lots of real life friends through blogging.
ReplyDeleteIn conversation I always refer to them as "so-and-so...one of my blogfriends".
hahaha... YES, I do. And I'm always surprised that other people don't even know about this secret world. I say, "So on this blog I read..." for too often. It mainly just confuses my real-life friends.
ReplyDeleteHahaha love that I was mentioned on here, I do the same thing although I think my blogging convos go in one year and out the other because I have to follow it with, "You know, the one who blah blah blah"
ReplyDeleteMe too! :) And a few of my blogger friends have become in-person friends too. It is a special community...
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely! Are your ears ringing?
ReplyDelete:)
I do too! My hubby is mostly amused by it. And the fact that I take random pictures of random things so I can post them! It is such a fun little world. I am so glad to be a part of it.
ReplyDeletethat is too cute. i noticed a while back that i was referring to ya'll only by blog titles when talking to my husband. i made the intentional switch to start calling everyone by their names or blog-names (Bird, ms. bunny, etc.). i still have to cite what blog they write, just so he can keep up with me. my husband thinks it's cute i've found friends, but i don't think he really understands how meaningful some of these folks are. :)
ReplyDeleteOh yes, and Ryan thinks I'm a freak with internet friends and everything!
ReplyDeletethis totally made me LAUGH!! I totally ramble on an on about my bloggy friends to my hubby (he's such a good sport). I also talk about my bloggy friends to "real?" life friends. I wonder if they think I'm half batty.
ReplyDeleteI know that living far away from my girlfriends and sisters now...and being surrounded with dudes at work...and my hubby at home...my bloggy girlfriends are my daily girly interactions - love that!!
I do this all the time - I feel my hubs knows my blogger friends. I was excited to move to Oregon b/c I may actually get to meet some of these buds behind the keyboard.
ReplyDeleteJ usually says... "is that one of those people you met on the internet?" He's clueless!
ReplyDeletefor sure! I refer to you guys as my blog friends! :)
ReplyDeletehahahaha, so funny and so true!
ReplyDeleteI tell my husband all the time that I wish I could meet some of my favorite bloggers to hang out and chat in real life!
ReplyDeleteYep the husband is amused when I go to meet a blogger buddy for lunch and tell him he's not allowed to come!
ReplyDeleteYes! I do the same thing all of the time!
ReplyDeleteAnd my husband knows who you are too. :)

I feel so special! The sad thing is, Ruthy, is that I'm so busy that my SISTER had to tell me about this post. I thought I was caught up with you guys!
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, I do have these same conversations with Evan.
