Are We Friends?

I talk about you bloggers regularly.  Almost to the point of us sounding like "real life"  friends.  I don't refer to you by name however, you are known by your blog's name.

Here are some excerpts from some recent conversations with my husband.

Me:  Guess what, A Mountain Bride is preggers and she's not getting maternity leave!!
Andy:  Really?  She's preggers already?  Wow.  How's August and After...is she still blogging?
Me:  She's really busy, she's working plus she started a photography business!
Andy:  Cool.

Me:  Oh,  guess what? Happy Hour With A Housewife might be a contestant on The Biggest Loser.
Andy:  Very Cool

Me:  Oh, by the way,  Metropolitan Mamma sent me a message about her husband's pastoral position that will be opening up soon when they start traveling.
Andy:  Really?

Does anyone else have real life conversations about their blogger buddies?

  2. That's so cute! And I most certainly do all the time. I feel like I've made lots of real life friends through blogging.

In conversation I always refer to them as "so-and-so...one of my blogfriends".

  3. hahaha... YES, I do. And I'm always surprised that other people don't even know about this secret world. I say, "So on this blog I read..." for too often. It mainly just confuses my real-life friends.

  4. Hahaha love that I was mentioned on here, I do the same thing although I think my blogging convos go in one year and out the other because I have to follow it with, "You know, the one who blah blah blah"

  7. I do too! My hubby is mostly amused by it. And the fact that I take random pictures of random things so I can post them! It is such a fun little world. I am so glad to be a part of it.

  8. that is too cute. i noticed a while back that i was referring to ya'll only by blog titles when talking to my husband. i made the intentional switch to start calling everyone by their names or blog-names (Bird, ms. bunny, etc.). i still have to cite what blog they write, just so he can keep up with me. my husband thinks it's cute i've found friends, but i don't think he really understands how meaningful some of these folks are. :)

  10. this totally made me LAUGH!! I totally ramble on an on about my bloggy friends to my hubby (he's such a good sport). I also talk about my bloggy friends to "real?" life friends. I wonder if they think I'm half batty.

I know that living far away from my girlfriends and sisters now...and being surrounded with dudes at work...and my hubby at home...my bloggy girlfriends are my daily girly interactions - love that!!

  11. I do this all the time - I feel my hubs knows my blogger friends. I was excited to move to Oregon b/c I may actually get to meet some of these buds behind the keyboard.

  18. I feel so special! The sad thing is, Ruthy, is that I'm so busy that my SISTER had to tell me about this post. I thought I was caught up with you guys!

And yes, I do have these same conversations with Evan.
