I have a serious problem.
Although I can get these custom made items at very affordable prices...the bargain hunter in me keeps saying, "I know I can get this cheaper at Ross." Isn't that lame? I can see my friend Kyah who is a celebrity stylist shaking her head in despair.
I can't help it; I'm a bargain shopper. I LOVE going through the racks at Goodwill and second hand stores; I'm pretty good at finding awesome additions to my wardrobe...like I did here.
The other problem is the matter of taking all the stuff home; we'd definitely need to buy another suitcase. I know, I know, I'm probably going to regret it once I get home. But at least my bank account will thank me.
What do you think? Any other bargain shoppers got my back?

Oh man. I am drooling over the sight of all those shoes. I would be done for if I found myself outside of any of those shops!
ReplyDeleteGood for you for having willpower! Maybe some of it could rub off on me?
Last time I checked, they didn't have custom clothes at Ross :) But I certainly don't discriminate when it comes to shopping...any and all of it is fair game. You just never no what you'll find!
ReplyDeleteI am totally a thrift store shopper too. To the point that if something is more than $3, I often find myself thinking....hmmm, is this too much to pay for that? Hahaha.....
ReplyDeleteGetting something custom-made for you sounds fabulous though and well-worth the more-than-Ross price. :) Plus it would be fun to wear and then remember how you got it made for you on your honeymoon trip. :)
i'm so bad at bargain shopping and it makes me sad. sometimes i bring my favorite bargain shopper friend and try to make her find good deals for me. if you know you can get it cheaper, you should just skip it. taking awesome pics of the custom made dresses is kind of better than having one sometimes. :)
ReplyDeleteI vote that you pick one special piece that will remind you of vietnam whenever you wear it.
ReplyDeleteI have a few special pieces in my "wardrobe" that friends have brought back from various parts of the world; I always smile when I wear them and love telling the story behind them if someone asks.
You deserve it! :)

buy one thing you KNOW you won't find at Ross. if you do that i promise not to be disappointed in you! :)
ReplyDeleteahh, the damage i would do if i were in your shoes, lol.
Omg. I just found your blog, you and your husband are amazing, what a beautiful, courageous, amazing life you lead together! I love reading about all your adventures
ReplyDeleteSorry, not this time friend :) Shop shop shop ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm a sale shopper I guess you'd say...I never shop in thrift stores or Goodwill but if there's a sale I'll find it for sure :) I say buy that extra suitcase and get to shopping!
ReplyDeleteSurely there is room in your luggage for that yellow dress in the top photo - bring it back for me!!
ReplyDeleteI definitely love finding great bargains, but...I'm also a BIG believer in quality over quantity. Especially for: jeans. bras. shoes.
ReplyDeleteSo I would say that it might be worth it to buy at least 1 or 2 high-quality pieces that catch your eye. :)
