Do Not Worry

Reading Luke 12:22 this evening couldn't have been more fitting.  Planning a wedding in Flagstaff Arizona while living in Seattle is overwhelming--doing it alone (all of my bridesmaid's live across the country) is even more disheartening.  My beloved is working full time as a youth director and is finishing up his Master's degree.  We live an hour apart from each other and I think we are both just a tad bit stressed at what the next few months will be like.  Jesus says in this verse, "...do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear.  Life is more than food, and the body more than clothes....who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?"  This is exactly what I needed to help give me some perspective to remind me to focus on what's really important.  All I needed was a reminder of God's promise, to hear my love's sweet voice and him telling me his plan of action for the next few months, and a break from obsessing over wedding stuff!

What am I worried about? Life is good!

1st Post

We met 76 days ago. Somehow, I've never been so sure of something in my entire life. I met his parents this weekend and was greeted with hugs, tears and comments on how beautiful their future grandchildren will be. Yes, not only have I found the man of my dreams, he comes with ideal in-laws! I truly am the luckiest girl in the world.

Somewhere around day 14 I knew I was going to marry this man. Week 4 we looked at engagement rings, and now I have 146 days to plan a wedding. I am not engaged yet--my sweet love wants to get my father's blessing first. Logistics aside, it's official.

Welcome to the behind the scene's of our journey.
